Man shoots would-be robber at gas station

A man who was pumping gas early Saturday shot one of three men who tried to rob him, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.

The man was at the Shell gas station on North Military Trail at the intersection with Community Drive when the would-be robbers approached him shortly before 7 a.m. Authorities said the man, who has a concealed weapons permit, fired at them, hitting one of them

All three fled the gas station. The person who was shot was taken into custody and is expected to survive his injuries.
