One dead after being struck by train

One person is dead after being hit by a train Friday night, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue authorities said.

Rescue crews responded to the tracks south of the intersection of Washington Avenue and South Dixie Highway at 10:15 p.m.

The person was pronounced dead at the scene. Lantana police have not publicly identified the person.
