Gearing up for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County Women Build 2024

The organization’s motto is ‘Together, building homes, communities, and hope.’

Coretta Scott King once said that the true measure of a community’s greatness lies in the level of compassion demonstrated by its members. This sentiment is particularly applicable to our own community and is exemplified by the supporters of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County.

Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Their mission is to ensure that everyone has access to a safe and decent place to live, regardless of their circumstances. Through their efforts, families and individuals in need of affordable housing can achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better future for themselves and their loved ones. Habitat for Humanity is a beacon of hope and a shining example of what can be achieved when we come together to create positive change in our communities. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County’s annual fundraiser, Women Build 2024, is a testament to the power of community and female empowerment. Held on March 14 and 15, 2024, the event encourages women to join forces with Habitat for Humanity, either individually or in teams, to give back to their local communities. During this event, participants work alongside Habitat families, learning new construction skills and forging lasting connections as they help build a home in Lake Worth Beach for a local family. By empowering women to help other women, Women Build 2024 sends a powerful message of positivity and hope, creating a lasting impact in the lives of families and communities served by Habitat for Humanity. As we lead up to Women Build 2024, several signature events are planned throughout Palm Beach County, including the much-anticipated Palm Beach Picnic held at The Royal Poinciana Plaza in Palm Beach on Feb. 10, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Chaired by Collin Adams and Farrah Scott with Honorary Chair Lori Berg, the event, in partnership with The Royal, promises to be a chic afternoon filled with entertainment and elevated picnic fare. Sip on rosé, relax in cabanas, and enjoy a lovely afternoon at this charming venue, all in support of Women Build 2024. Additional signature events prior to Women Build 2024 include the Holiday Table Showcase on Nov. 18, which will be held at Pioneer Linens in West Palm Beach from 2 to 4 p.m. There will also be a Sip & Shop event at Hill House Home in Palm Beach on Dec. 5 and the Women Build Kickoff Party, generously sponsored by The Ben, in West Palm Beach on Jan. 12.
