Viney, Bearden key PJP boys’ victory over Phoenixvil­le

Vincent Viney and Ricky Bearden combined for 29 points to lead the Golden Panthers over the Phantoms in their PAC Frontier Division pairing on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

Viney had a game-high 15 points— a majority of them scored in the third quarter — followed by Bearden’s 14. Brady Aselton netted 10 to lead Phoenixvil­le, which saw a 9-5 first-quarter advantage reversed to a 17-15 halftime lead for PJP.

David Duda had the hot hand as he scored 28 points while the Warriors held off the host Rams for a PAC Liberty win on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

Duda had six 3-pointers, four in the third quarter alone. Noah Kitaw added 18 for Methacton.

Noah Baker had a teamhigh 25 for Spring-Ford, which got as close as 7573 with 33 seconds left but couldn’t complete the comeback. Also in double figures for the Rams were Nestor Diaz (14), Ryan Hagan (12) and Robert Bobeck (10).

Jerry Kapp hit for a game-high 18 points to lead the Bears past the Vikings in PAC Liberty Division play on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

Zach Benning added another 11 points to help Boyertown rally for the victory in an 11-7 fourth quarter. Tyler Strechay was the high scorer for PV with 16. Tyler Strechay hit for a gamehigh 19 points as the Vikings went to overtime to prevail over the Trojans in non-league play on Satur- day, Dec. 16.
