‘Be a buddy, not a bully’
October was Bullying Prevention Month and Ringing Rocks Elementary capitalized on the opportunity to teach and reinforce lessons about kindness and anti-bullying. On Oct. 2 they joined schools across the nation by wearing blue in support of the World Day of Bullying Prevention. Throughout the month the school guidance counselor, Mrs. Martin, visited classrooms to teach students how to “Be a buddy, not a bully.” A lively bully-free assembly led by YoJo was designed to teach students how to combat various bullying behaviors.
