District seeks public feedback on idea for full-day kindergarten
COLLEGEVILLE >> Perkiomen Valley School District is looking for feedback on its newest idea involving full-day kindergarten.
The district is conducting a study under the leadership of its Curriculum and Instruction team to investigate the idea of full-day kindergarten for all students, and part of this process involves collecting feedback from district stakeholders.
District residents are invited to take a few minutes to complete a short online survey (https://www. surveymonkey.com/r/LY3KGVL) to share their thoughts. The survey is open to all members of the Perkiomen Valley community. It is important for the district to hear from both parents and community members who do not have children in our schools.
A committee has been formed to understand the purpose, need, potential costs, and planning of full day kindergarten. To date, committee meetings have focused on the purpose and scope of committee work and research review. The next meeting is scheduled for Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school library.
Anyone interested in participating in this committee may contact Mrs. Laurie Smith, Assistant to the Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction, for information. Email: [email protected]
Residents can also stay informed of the progress of the committee by visiting the “Full Day mKindergarten Review” webpage.
