Two found dead in home
PHOENIXVILLE >> Police have begun an investigation after a man and woman were found dead inside their Phoenixville home.
Police said in a release Dec. 19 that officers were called to a home on the 1000 block of Balley Drive at 6:29 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16, for a report of two people found unconscious.
When police arrived, they found a man and woman deceased inside the home. Both individuals each had a single gunshot wound and had died of their injuries, police said.
The man was identified as 40-year-old Warnell Heck and the woman was identified by police as 45-year-old Heather Woodward, authorities said.
Police said following a preliminary investigation, it is believed that the incident was a murder/ suicide that resulted from a domestic incident.
There is no danger to the community, according to police.
Detectives with the Phoenixville Police Department are continuing to investigate the incident along with the Chester County District Attorney’s Office and the Chester County Coroner’s Office.
