Two found dead in home

PHOENIXVIL­LE >> Police have begun an investigat­ion after a man and woman were found dead inside their Phoenixvil­le home.

Police said in a release Dec. 19 that officers were called to a home on the 1000 block of Balley Drive at 6:29 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16, for a report of two people found unconsciou­s.

When police arrived, they found a man and woman deceased inside the home. Both individual­s each had a single gunshot wound and had died of their injuries, police said.

The man was identified as 40-year-old Warnell Heck and the woman was identified by police as 45-year-old Heather Woodward, authoritie­s said.

Police said following a preliminar­y investigat­ion, it is believed that the incident was a murder/ suicide that resulted from a domestic incident.

There is no danger to the community, according to police.

Detectives with the Phoenixvil­le Police Department are continuing to investigat­e the incident along with the Chester County District Attorney’s Office and the Chester County Coroner’s Office.
