LIMERICK » Students at St. Teresa of Calcutta were hard at work this week.

As part of their celebration of Catholic Schools Week, students at St. Teresa of Calcutta participated in a number of outreach projects.

On Thursday, students in grades 5-8 worked together to make blankets for the homeless that were then donated to the Mother of Mercy House in Kensington.

Additionally, students in grades kindergarten through 4 collected a variety of packaged food and drinks to make breakfast bags. Each student decorated a white paper bag and then filled it with items such as fruit juices, whole grain bars, instant oatmeal and trail mix.

The breakfast bags were completed and dropped off at the Open Door Ministry in Royersford to be distributed to those in need.

Catholic Schools Week is a national celebration of Catholic education and an opportunity to recognize the contributions of Catholic education to the Church and the world.
