Girl Scouts celebrate the holiday season

- — Submitted by Kate Miani

Girl Scouts from Troops 71879, 71790 and 70621 gathered at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pennsburg, to celebrate the holiday season — playing games, making ice cream treats and just relaxing. In addition, an awards ceremony was held to honor two Upper Perkiomen tenth graders, Abigail S., Troop 71790, and Annabelle Z., Troop 71879, for their service to Girl Scouting. The awards were presented by Erica Rotanz, program advisor. The two Scouts completed 25 hours of service to girls from Bucks and Montgomery Counties while planning and executing virtual programming for national leadership journeys. The participants learned fundamental skills in leadership and completed projects that educate others, are sustainable, and help the communities become better places to live.
