- — Submitted by Becky Cucuzza

The Lansdale Catholic High School cheerleaders have successfully defended their title and clinched the 2022 PIAA 2A Small Division State Championship. The team is the only Lansdale Catholic High School team in school history to win back-toback state championships. High school cheerleading in Pennsylvania has five divisions: 2A and 3A girls-only small teams, 2A and 3A girls-only large teams, and a much smaller division of co-ed teams. In winning the 2A small division, Lansdale Catholic clinched one of the most competitive divisions — defeating 30 other 2A small state qualifiers who previously won their district and regional competitions.
