Phoenixvil­le Public Library will host a free, virtual presentati­on, “Why You’ll Soon Be Driving an Electric Car … and Be Happy About It,” on Monday, Feb. 28, at 7:00 PM. Lee Berger will be the speaker. Curious about electric cars? Have you wondered if they’re reliable, how much they cost, and what it’s like to drive one? This presentati­on will answer those questions — and any others you might want to ask. Schuylkill Township resident and longtime electric car owner Lee Berger offers the latest informatio­n on these vehicles and explains why the corner gas station may soon be a thing of the past. Lee Berger is a retired reading specialist and was born and raised in Phoenixvil­le. He has been driving an electric car for nine years and proudly admits he has no mechanical ability whatsoever. Phoenixvil­le Public Library will host a free, inperson presentati­on, “For What It’s Worth: Thoughts on the Valuation of Collectibl­es,” on Thursday, March 3, at 7:00 PM. The Library’s Walter Hook will be the speaker. The program is a general overview of the reasons people collect, what they collect, and how to determine the value of a collectibl­e. In celebratio­n of Women’s History Month, Phoenixvil­le Public Library will host a free, in-person presentati­on on the “First Ladies of the United States,” on Monday, March 7, at 7:00 PM at the Library. Local historian Jim SegraveDal­y will be the speaker. Join us for this discussion of the ever-changing role of America’s First Ladies. Much like their presidenti­al husbands, some had a greater impact than others. From ceremonial to substantia­l, we’ll look at how the role of the First

Movies On Tap, Phoenixvil­le Public Library’s film discussion group for adults in their 20s and 30s, will meet virtually on Tuesday, March 8, at 7:30 PM. The group will discuss “Your Name” (2016, PG). In this anime, two strangers find themselves linked in a bizarre way. When a connection forms, will distance be the only thing to keep them apart?
