District mask mandate unevenly applied

In what some are calling a sign of inconsiste­ncy or hypocrisy, a basketball playoff game at Spring-Ford High School was allowed to go on despite lessthan-optimal mask wearing in the audience on the same night a school board meeting was halted when members of the audience refused to wear masks.

The matter was raised that night, and subsequent­ly on social media, by those who objected to Feb. 22’s abrupt adjournmen­t of the school board meeting at which the conditions under which Spring-Ford’s mask mandate would be lifted was on the agenda for discussion.
