Volunteers needed to clean up Pigeon Creek on April 23
EAST COVENTRY » The township is continuing an annual tradition of sponsoring a cleanup of Pigeon Creek as part of its Earth Day celebration.
At a recent meeting, the board of supervisors approved sponsoring the cleanup of Pigeon Creek between Route 724 to the Schuylkill River.
Individuals or groups interested in keeping East
Coventry clean and green are invited to volunteer a few hours of their time to participate in this annual community stream cleanup initiative.
Volunteers will be provided with cleanup tools, garbage bags and other supplies. Volunteers are encouraged to wear boots and dress appropriately for weather conditions on the cleanup event day.
Interested volunteers are to gather at the
Schuylkill River Trail parking lot (Address for map apps: 320 Linfield Road, Pottstown, PA 19465) located at the intersection of Bethel Church Road and Route 724, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23. The rain date will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 30.
