West Chester Studio at Uptown! offering summer of theater fun
West Chester Studio at Uptown! is raising its curtain once again for another summer of theatre fun and exploration.
At WCStudio at Uptown!, theater is used as a tool to help students be fearless in their play, speak their minds and develop their imaginations. Our summer camps are developed for student’s ages 4-17 who are beginning to explore the world of theater, building upon skills developed during the school year, or more advanced students who are planning to pursue theater in the professional industry.
No matter where they are in their theatrical journey, we strive to create an encouraging learning environment for our students to build practical skills and find their own creative voice.
“Exploration and connection leads to authenticity” is the mantra we follow at West Chester Studio.
By exploring the imagination and engaging in creative play, as well as connecting to the inner voice, students are able to arrive at an authentic character that brings truth to any performance. It is important to us at WCStudio to maintain small groups of students, with a student to teacher ratio of 9 to 1, in order to allow each camper the unique opportunity to hone their skills and let them shine.
Our teachers are experienced theater artists that introduce key theater games and exercises that support the techniques the students will learn. This fosters the skills they will continue to use both on and offstage for years to come.

Conveniently located in the heart of West Chester, WCStudio at Uptown! camps are offered throughout the summer to accommodate busy summer schedules. Camps run for one week, as well as some specialty camps that run for two to four weeks.
Each camp is specially designed with a certain age range and theme in mind including Storybook Theater, Broadway Kiddos, Broadway Cabaret, Summer Stock, Triple Threat, Acting for the Camera, Improvisation, Kids and Teen Show Camp, Backstage Tech Camp and more.
Each camp culminates in a show that campers have developed and rehearsed throughout the camp, performed for family and friends on the Uptown! Knauer Performing
Arts Main Stage or the Univest Blackbox Stage.
