The Phoenix Book Club, Phoenixville Public Library’s virtual book discussion group for adults of all ages, will meet on Zoom on Monday, April 10, at 7:00 PM. The group will discuss “The Barbizon: The Hotel that Set Women Free” by Paulina Bren. The Barbizon tells the story of New York’s most glamorous women-only hotel, and the women who passed through its doors. Post-World War I, women were working in the city’s skyscrapers and wanted what men had-residential hotels with services, cultural programs, private dining. It’s the epic story of the 20th-century woman’s ambition, as seen in the likes of Molly Brown, Rita Hayworth, Grace Kelly, Ali McGraw, Sylia Plath, Meg Wolitzer, and many others. A physical copy of this title may be reserved at www. ccls.org. An eBook may be reserved at https://chester. overdrive.com. This event is free and open to the public and will be held online via Zoom.
