Male Athletes of the Year named

Argos Athlete of the Year Ian Kindig

Ian was a threesport athlete in his time at Argos winning letters in basketball, baseball and soccer for the Dragons. In basketball he averaged over 12 points a game his senior year and was part of the Dragons sectional title winner. He had a career .408 batting average including a mark of .457 this past season with 12 stolen bases. He was a three year varsity letter winner in soccer.

Glenn Athlete of the Year Jack Vukovits

Jack was a two-sport athlete in his years at Glenn winning multiple varsity letters in football and baseball. Jack was a big part of Glenn’s run in baseball his junior year hitting .290 and driving in 19 runs for the Falcons stealing seven bases with a .991 fielding percentage. Jack was a running back in football for the Falcons.

CMA Athlete of the Year Jordon Freeman

Jordon was recognized by the Academies for his accomplish­ments in basketball, football and track with the Russ and Myra Oliver Award Best Allaround Athlete award, which is presented to that first-classman of CMA who best represents the ideals of Russ and Myra Oliver. He was a regional qualifier in track his senior year and was a part of the Eagles’ run to the state title game in basketball.

Laville Athlete of the Year Riley Wagoner

Riley was a varsity letter winner in three sports at Laville, basketball, football and track and field and was named the schools outstandin­g senior athlete. For the Lancer football team he had over 300 tackles as a thee year varsity letter winner averaging over 10 tackles a game his junior and senior season. Riley was a four year letter winner in basketball.

Culver Athlete of the Year Brandon Jones

Brandon was a threesport athlete at Culver winning letters in football, baseball and basketball. He helped the Cavs in football at several positions and was a key part of the baseball team graduating with a career batting average of .325 and driving home 21 runs.

Triton Athlete of the Year Bo Snyder

Bo was a three-sport athlete at Triton in football, wrestling and baseball in his four years. He was a key part of the Trojans success in football. As a three year starter in football he threw for over 1000 yards in three straight seasons and just over 5000 for his career averaging 136 yards passing a game in his career with 58 touchdown passes. He was a regional qualifier in wrestling.

Plymouth Athlete of the Year Cole Filson

Cole was a three-sport athlete at Plymouth in baseball, basketball and football and won the Kizer award as the school’s outstandin­g senior athlete. As a senior he was named all conference in baseball hitting .340 and leading the conference and the Pilgrims with 25 RBIS. On the basketball floor he averaged 12 points and four rebounds a game and was a three year starter in football at quarterbac­k and running back.

Bremen Athlete of the Year Ryan Caldwell

Ryan was a three-sport athlete at Bremen in football, basketball and baseball. He was named the Lions senior athlete of the year. He was a big part of Bremen’s semi-state run in football throwing for nearly 2000 yards and 26 touchdowns his senior season with just five intercepti­ons. He averaged eight points and four rebounds a game in basketball and was captain of the baseball team hitting .333 for his varsity years.
