TUESDAY, JAN. 14

• Bremen Historic Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

•The Bourbon Town Council holds monthly meetings the second Tuesday of the Month starting at 7 p.m. at the town hall located at 104 East Park Avenue. The meetings are open to the public.

• Plymouth Optimist Club “Friend of Youth” meets from 7 - 8 a.m. at the Ponderosa Steak House. You are invited to join us for breakfast and informativ­e speakers. The Optimist Club focuses on the youth of our community, and other community projects.

• Kiwanis Club of Plymouth meets from 12 pm – 1 pm at Ponderosa. We “serve the children of the world” with a special focus on improving the lives of children in our community. Join us for lunch and informativ­e speakers. New members are always welcome.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 15

• Plymouth Elks Lodge Wednesday Night Specials include: Swiss Steak; Smoked Sausage; Fish Basket. Serving 5-7 p.m. Carry outs available 935-5511. Open to the public. RC5081274.

• Game Day from 2 to 4 pm in Fellowship Hall, First United Methodist Church, 400 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. Games include Euchre and Dominos. Everyone is welcome!

• Wild Rose Moon Historic Downtown Plymouth Open Mic Night from 7-9 p.m. Sign up in advance online at www.wildrosemo­on.com or at the door. Free and open to the public. 574-276-1185.

• The Argos Town Council holds two meetings each month on the first and third Wednesdays of the month starting at 7:30p.m. at the town’s municipal building located at 201 West Walnut Street. The meetings are open to the public.

• Bread of Life Food Bank, Plymouth.

•Nar-anon Meeting. These are like the Al-anon meetings but for Narcotic addiction, at 6:30 p.m. at Plymouth Community Church in the Stockman Building. Narcotics Anonymous also meets at the same time with both meetings in the same building, but separate groups.

• Genealogy LIVE! meets from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the computer lab at the Culver-union Township Public Library. All ages and research levels are welcome, and assistance is available. Questions? • Parent-child Art Workshop. Children will play and explore a variety age-appropriat­e concepts and media (painting, sculpture, textiles, etc.) with a focus on the use of found/ recycled materials (bottle caps, lids, CDS, recycled paper, textiles & lots of cardboard). $10 per child includes all supplies. • Celebrate Recovery is offered at the Plymouth Church of the Brethren, 1130 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth. Large group starts at 6:30 p.m., followed by a fellowship time. • PPL Homework help from 4-5 p.m. in the Jim Neu room.

• What is the recommende­d serving size? How much protein, fruits and vegetables, and carbohydra­tes are suggested for optimal nutrition? The My Plate Presentati­on - Eating Healthy will answer those questions and more. Renell Finke, Nutrition Education Assistant from Purdue Extension Service will be at the Life Enrichment Center/marshall County Council on Aging, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth at 11:30 a.m. to explain and SHOW you these recommenda­tions. Recipes will be shared also.

• Operation Quiet Comfort will be meeting at 9:30 a.m. at the Coffee Lodge in Plymouth to begin planning for the ninth annual “Celebrate & Support Our Troops” dinner and auction fundraiser which will be held April 23. SATURDAY, JAN. 18

• Paddle Auction to benefit Kiwanis of Plymouth at Memories Banquet Hall, 401 E. Jefferson St., Plymouth. Doors open at 4 p.m. auction starts at 5 p.m. Tickets are $5. No outside food or children under 13. Tickets can be purchased at Miller’s Assisted Living.

SUNDAY, JAN. 19

• “Strike out Cancer” bowling event will be held from 2-5 p.m. at Quick’s Lanes in Plymouth. This is the kickoff for the 25th American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in Marshall County. Cost is $10 and includes up to 3 hours of bowling and shoe rental.

MONDAY, JAN. 20

•The Argos School Board meeting is held on the third Monday of month starting at 7 p.m. Meetings are held in the library at the Argos High School. The meetings are open to the public.

TUESDAY, JAN. 21

• The Alzheimer’s Support Group for Marshall County and surroundin­g areas will meet at Lifeplex, 2855 Miller Dr. in Plymouth. This group meets on the Third Tuesday of each month from 10 -11:30 a.m. The meeting is open to anyone who has a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia or who would like more informatio­n regarding the disease.
