MC Historical Society holding two virtual events in June
For the month of June, the Marshall County Museum will be offering two virtual events. VIRTUAL BROWN BAG:
June 12, 12 - 1 p.m., with Jenny Harness. Jenny’s program, “Remnants of the White City, Revisited”, will look at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair and how it significantly shaped life, then and now. To register for this event, email sarahwhisman@ mchistoricalsociety.org and the Zoom meeting details will be sent to you along with a helpful guide. For those hesitant about using Zoom, it is a fairly easy program to use and as long as you have an internet capable device and an internet connection, you can participate.
KID’S EVENT:
“Time Travel Scavenger Hunt” for kids (it’s fun for adults too!). Using just a few clues and an old photograph from the Museum’s archives, see if you can spot some of the still-standing historic buildings of Marshall County. Then, recreate the photo and share it with us on social media! This activity will posted on our website, www.mchistoricalsociety.org , starting June 3 for you to print at home.
