Culver Farmers’ Market Stage 3 May 30th - June 14
CULVER — Organizers for the Culver Farmers’ Market have continued to adapt and innovate as pandemic restrictions were put in place and now the economy is set to open in stages, slowly and safely.
Though always essential, organizers have implemented the highest standards for produce exchange among vendors and consumers.
The summer market will continue in the Culver Town Park, vendors will be spaced at least 10 feet apart.
The summer season officially launched Saturday, May 30. Saturday hours will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Summer Market Tuesday will begin Tuesday, June 16 and will be held every Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Market organizers Tracy Fox, Chad Gard and Xenia Czifrik released a COVID-19 Culver Market precautions form detailing the measures being taken to prevent the exposure and or spread of the novel coronavirus.
Customers will be separated six feet apart while visiting a booth and are limited to one person per booth unless they family members or of the same household.
Market organizers ask that consumers leave their pets at home for now.
Customers will be “strongly encouraged” to wear masks.
The hydrant by the Train Depot will be useable for hand washing. Hand sanitizer will be made available as it can be obtained.
Consumers who bring their own bag must place their purchases in their own bag after payment. Vendors cannot handle the personal property of consumers.
Booths will be spaced at least 10 feet apart. All vendors are required to wear masks. No samples will be provided at this time. Vendors will be required to ensure that consumers are “physically separated” from food
and other market items for sale.
There will be two vendors per booth; one to handle products and the other to process financial transactions. For booths with only one vendor; the vendor will be required to sanitize their hands after each transaction.
Vendors will wipe down tables with sanitizer every two hours or more often.
