MARSHALL COUNTY — Members of the Marshall County Council praised Marshall County Veteran Service (MCVS) Officer Pam Schweizer-betz during the regular meeting Monday.

Schweizer-betz requested a funds transfer from capital outlays in her budget to promote MCVS in the Senior Lifestyle Magazine. That request was approved within Ordinance 2020-26 unanimously by the council. President Judith Stone said, “She is doing a great job.”

Member Mandy Campbell said, “She is. I have people who have moved here from other counties and they are veterans and they have talked so highly about knowing about her and all that she’s doing for Marshall County. It’s so great to hear from people that have moved here from somewhere else, already know about the great work she is doing.”

Stone added, “I hear great things about her all the time. That is such a great thing for Marshall County.”

MCVS is located in Room 306 in the Marshall County Building. The office is full of literature and resources to help veterans and their families obtain assistance including but not limited to the areas of healthcare, mental health, addiction recovery, financial assistance, and housing.

Veterans and their families who need access to resources can contact Schweizer-betz by email at pamsb@co.marshall.in.us or by phone at 574935-8546 to make an appointment.
