Local farmers markets ready for 2021 season

The local farmers markets in Bourbon, Bremen and Nappanee are looking to debut their 2021 seasons in May.

Bourbon Farmers Market

6-8 p.m. | Tuesdays | May 18 Corner of Market/center streets

With about 11 vendors currently signed up to set up shop, this year’s market is shaping up to be even larger than its last. Beyond that, there are also plans to close a section of the street to accommodate a couple food trucks, seating and additional vendors to make for a more family-friendly event. With an emphasis on home-grown or baked goods, there will be no craft vendors at the market. after shopping and eating dinner, market organizers are inviting attendees to shop local by checking out downtown businesses. anyone interested in hosting a booth or being a food truck vendor can apply by filling out the form available through the Bourbon Farmers Market Facebook page.

Bremen Farmers Market

Nappanee Market on Market

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Saturdays May 29 | Downtown Pavilion

The annual Market on Market is a place for local vendors to showcase their homemade goods, from produce and natural goods to baked goods and crafts. This is the market’s third year running.
