LAKEVILLE — Laville took two singles matches and one doubles to take the 3-2 win over Rochester Tuesday.

JV baseball PHS wins 7-5

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth’s JV team defeated Rochester, 7-5. Caden Weidner was the winner pitcher with help from Noble Bockman. Weidner, Brock Jensen, Ryan Jolly, Ryan Gadziola and Caleb Bowling had multiple hits for the Pilgrims. Jensen had four stolen bases.

Lady Lancers get big win at Argos

ARGOS — The varsity softball team collected 12 hits, including six extra base hits en route to a 21-5 victory at Argos.

Cambree Howe slugged a home run and a double, while Chloe Herbster added two doubles, Allison Medors a double, and Abby Goffinet a double to lead the offense.

Medors and Howe each drove in five runs each, while Herbster and Ayva Barger knocked home three runs a piece.

Quincy Blodgett picked up the win in the circle, striking out six in three innings and allowing one earned run. Herbster tossed the final two innings as Lancer Softball earned their first victory of the season.

Laville will play host to Northern Lakes Conference foe Northwood on Wednesday, April 14. The first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Laville High School softball diamond.

ECA slips past LV

LAKEVILLE — Elkhart Christian Academy narrowly defeated Laville’s girls track team, 61-59, and downed the boys by the score of 83-46 at Lancer Field Tuesday.

Both teams will be in action on Thursday when they host South Central at 5:30 p.m. First place finishes for the girls included Lucy Sherk (Shot Put 31-1, Discus 72-3.5), Olivia Goze (100M 13.13, 200M 28.41, Long Jump 14-6.25), Madelyn Fuchs (High Jump 4-8, 400M 1:07.44), Lauren Edison (100M Hurdles 18.31, 300M Hurdles 55.41) and for the boys Collin Allen (Discus 115-9 1/2), Nathan Watts (Pole Vault 10-0), Alex Rice (110M High Hurdles 23.06) and Owen Smith (100M Dash 11.31, 200M Dash 23.38).

Second place finishes:

Bremen drops NIC meet to Marian

BREMEN — The Bremen track teams hosted the Marian Knights on Tuesday night for the first official NIC meet of the season.

For the boys senior sprinter Lenin Diaz was able to capture two firsts on the night winning the 200 meter dash and helping the 1600 meter relay of Noah Wagers, Lextin Willis, Diaz, and Brady Ginter capture first.

For the girls senior Raven White took another first in Pole Vault was also anchoring the first-place 4x100 relay team of Lydia Stamm, Zoey France, Lauren Miller and White. Stamm also won the long jump while Miller won shot and disc. France and Madison Gale completed a sweep of the discus with Miller.
