Glenn wins own Invite
WALKERTON - After a rain postponement from the previous Saturday, the Lady Falcons had very impressive performances in all of their matches to win the John Glenn Invitational. Glenn swept all three singles spots with Jessica Yelaska at #1 Singles, Alex Flaharty at #2 Singles, and Emma Romer at #3 Singles. The doubles team of Jessica Wilk and Grace Rice also came out on top against Rochester and Laville at #2 Doubles. The #1 Doubles team of Megan
Kobelt and Hailey Harness defeated Rochester in the first round, but came up a few points short in a tiebreak against Laville.

GOSHEN - Bremen’s girls tennis team continued its winning ways by sweeping three opponents at the Goshen Tournament on Saturday. Chloe Miller
at #2 and Katie Barnes at #3 finished the day at 3-0 on the singles side, and the #2 doubles team of Emilee Taylor and Silvia Meyer also went undefeated for the Lions. Bremen is back in action today at home versus Jimtown.

HS baseball JG sweeps
WALKERTON - Glenn hosted and won the Dick Reese Baseball Classic Saturday.
In Game 1, Glenn defeated Knox, 11-0. Nathan Marshman and Joe Chraliwy combined for a two-hit, 10-strikeout shutout. Colin Stephens and Frankie Lizzie drove home two runs each. Anthony Kaser, Jake Taylor, Joe Delinski, Silas Kaser and Matt Ciula had one RBI each.
In the championship game, Glenn defeated Kankakee Valley 5-1. Brycen Hannah threw a complete game three-hitter, striking out five. Hannah also had two hits and two RBIS. Braylon Smith collected three hits and Silas Kaser, Nathan Marshman and Joe Delinski drove home one run each.

BREMEN - Logan Hite took a no-hitter into the 6th inning, but setttled for a three-hitter with the help of Baylor Orcutt, who got the save during Bremen’s 4-2 win over Tippecanoe Valley. Shay Kyser had two hits and a run scored for the Lions.

MONTICELLO - Careerbest individual rounds helped lead the Plymouth varsity golf team to a second-place finish out of 20 teams at the Twin Lakes Invitational Saturday.
Junior Bennett Christy was third place overall with a 75 (career best) and senior Owen Yoder finished fifth with a 77 (career best by five strokes) to earn top 5 medals. Other Plymouth scores were Kyle
Johnson 87 (career best), Eli Schramm 89 (career best) and Ashton Blalock 104 (career best).
The shot of the day was senior Kyle Johnson’s holeout from 169 yards away for eagle on his second hole of the day (#1). A close runner-up for the best shot was Yoder’s chip-in from about 40 yards on #10 for par.
Plymouth’s team score was 328. Twin Lakes finished first with a score of 317. Third place went to Noblesville with 332. Plymouth hosts Mishawaka Marian today at Pretty Lake Golf Club starting at 4:30 p.m.
