What if?

What if he / she overdoses?

What if he / she dies?

What if I could just keep them safe here at home?

What if I lay next to them morning, noon, and night… what if….what if I can save them?

“What if’s are sad. It’s very unfortunat­e but people do die living this lifestyle. Accepting that you cannot fix the issue for them is really hard. And accepting that sometimes loved ones die in this lifestyle is really hard too. Like any other grief process families go through - that loss -regardless of what took their person’s life; be it drugs and any other life taking cause; understand­ing and accepting that it is not their fault and they couldn’t change it no matter how bad they want to is how they can start to heal.”
