FRIDAY, MAY 7

• Heartland Artist Gallery offers a clay class where students will be making a textured coffee cup. The classes are from 6 to 8 p.m. and are $35 which includes both. On the first meeting they will be constructi­ng the cup and on the second, They will be glazing the cup. Students will be required to wear face masks; there will be no refreshmen­ts; the class is limited to five students.

•VFW Post 1162, 606 Lake Ave., from 5-7 p.m. Dinners - choice of Fisherman’s Platter or 1/2 lb. pc of Beer Battered Cod. Sides: Clam Chowder and Garden Salad. Fisherman’s Platter (Flounder, Scallops and Shrimp) Dinner $12. Cod dinner $10. All meals are dine in or carry out. Call 574-936-2245.

• Plymouth First United Methodist Church, 400 North Michigan St., is having a Walleye Fish Sandwich with Fries Fundraiser, cooked by Ralph Smith from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the west parking lot (by Red-d-mart). • You or a loved one struggle with Addiction? Project Hope meets at 6 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at David’s Courage, 10924 Lincolnway in Plymouth.

• Kiwanis Club of Plymouth meets from 12 pm – 1 pm at Opies in Plymouth. We are a global organizati­on of volunteers dedicated to serving children. A variety of weekly community speakers.

• The Plymouth Optimist Club “Friend of Youth” meets every Tuesday at 7 a.m. at the Marshall County Community Foundation. You can join us in person or meet with us on Zoom. Not only are we involved in many community youth projects, we give four scholarshi­ps to Plymouth graduates each year and are responsibl­e to grow and plant the flowers in the downtown planters and replace them with Christmas trees in November. • Want to learn how to knit, need help with a project, or just want to join others as they work on their projects? The Knitting Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at Marshall County Council on Aging/life Enrichment Center, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth at 9 a.m.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 12

• Saint Joseph Health System brings their Mobile Medical Unit to the parking lot of Marshall County Council on Aging/life Enrichment Center, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth monthly. Mammogram screenings are offered in the Unit. Appointmen­ts are preferred but walk-ins are welcome as their schedule permits. Call 1-888-455-4450 or 574-3354500 to schedule an appointmen­t. This is a quick and efficient way to get a mammogram screening.

• Line Dancing at the Webster Center in Plymouth from 1-3 p.m.

• The Plymouth Class of 1958 shall meet the month of May at Opie’s. We shall meet every Wednesday, at 11:30 a.m. We shall have Lunch together and visit for a while. We are planning our next Reunion, which will be July 17 and invitation­s will be sent out soon. Please come to our weekly luncheon. Your welcome to bring a Friend too! • Indiana Army National Guard Physical Fitness Group every Wednesday 5- 6:30 p.m. (EST) Open to: Ages 17 - 34 (coed group) Admission: Free. Location: Indiana National Guard Armory, 1220 West Madison Street, Plymouth. Must Contact SGT WALLS to be added to class roster each week NLT 9 pm (EST) the day before. Workouts vary by group size and weather availabili­ty - exercises range from Circuit training, cardio/hiit, running/jogging, to physical fitness games.

• Attorneys with the Volunteer Lawyer Network organizati­on continue to be at the Life Enrichment Center/marshall County Council on Aging, 1305 W. • Are you a caregiver for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or another dementia? If so, please join us for support as you go through your journey. The Alzheimer’s & Dementia Services of Northern Indiana support group will meet at the Marshall County Council on Aging/life Enrichment Center, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth.
