Macel M. Johnson

Macel M. Johnson took her last, peaceful breath on Dec.

9, 2020 in the comfort of her home in Lake Placid, Fla., with her loving husband, James L.

Johnson, at her side.

Macel Marceille Little was born on Jan. 10, 1933 in

Marshall County to Herman and

Margaret (Gangloff) Little, the eldest of five daughters.

She married ‘the love of her life’ James L. Johnson on Sept. 16, 2001 at Evangelica­l Covenant Church in Donaldson. They resided in Plymouth for a short time before moving to Lake Placid, FL, surrounded by breathtaki­ng beauty at Lake Huntley. Their marriage joined two families.

Surviving with her husband James, are sons Robert Dickson and Mike Miser, both of Plymouth, Steve Johnson of Lake Placid, Fla., Tim (Coleen) Johnson of Manassas, Va., and Dan Johnson of Palm Harbor, Fla; daughters Vivian Miser and Janice Lamb, both of Plymouth, Sharon (Mike) Houin of Argos, and Penny Lynn Byron of Denver, Colo.; her sisters Arline Troxell, Esther (Bud) Frauhigher, Deloris Van Vactor, and Sandra Scheibelhu­t, and many dear nieces and nephews. She was blessed with 20 grandchild­ren, 33 great-grandchild­ren, and eight great-great-grandchild­ren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Beverly Miser, and two great-grandsons, Tyler Mattix and Raymond Norem.

A memorial service will be held on Sept. 16, at the chapel of Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, at 10 a.m. EST, followed by grave site urn burial. Memorial contributi­ons in her name can be made to Evangelica­l Covenant Church, Donaldson, or Hospice Foundation of America.
