• Optimist Fundraiser Bruce Ruffing Pulled Pork/baked Beans from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Centier Bank Parking Lot at Jefferson and Oak Rd., Plymouth. Cost is $10/meal.

• Justified Quartet will be holding a concert at Christian Fellowship Worship Center, located at 2468 N. State Road 39 at 7 p.m. EST. Concert is donations only, no tickets are required. • There will be a Rummage Sale Bake Sale at Lakeville United Methodist Church, located at 610 N. Michigan in Lakeville. It’ll be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Starting at 11:30 a.m. it will be $3/bag All You Can Fit In.

• The West High School 97th & 98th annual Alumni Associatio­n Banquet will be held on Saturday Sept. 18 at the Pretty Lake Trinity United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall located at 8985 State Road 17, Plymouth. Social hour will be from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the dinner and meeting starting at 4:30 p.m. The 2020 annual West Alumni Banquet was cancelled due to the coronaviru­s, and is being celebrated with this year’s 2021 Alumni Banquet. The combined 2020/2021 banquet theme is “A Nostalgia Days,” highlighti­ng memories and memorabili­a of West High School. The 2021 buffet dinner will be prepared and served by the Mary and Martha Circle of the church. Special class recognitio­n will be given this year to the Graduating Classes of: Class of 1940 and 1941 (80th), Class of 1945 and 1946 (75th); Class of 1950 and 1951 (70th); Class of 1955 and 1956 (65th); Class of 1960 and 1961 (60th); Class of 1965 (55th). The West High School Alumni Associatio­n conducts their annual event each year on the second Saturday of June. The 2022 event will take place on Saturday June 10, 2022.

• The Lake of the Woods Property Owners Associatio­n is holding Cruise in and Cruisine from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lake of the Woods Bremen Conservati­on Club. Food vendors include Laparilla Caliente, Dr. Chang’s BBQ, Kona Ice, smothered and covered fries and more. A portion of the food sales will directly benefit Lake of the Woods. • There will be a blood drive at St. Isidore Hall, located at 803 W. Bike Street in Bremen from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Please call 1-800-RED-CROSS or 1-800-733-2767 to scehdule your appointmen­t. You can also visit www.redcrossbl­ood.org and use sponsor code “STISIHALL” to schedule your appointmen­t. The drive in July collected 50 units of blood. Each unit could save three lives. There is still an urgent need for blood!
