Plymouth gets in win column over West Central
PLYMOUTH — A shaky start led to an overwhelming finish as Plymouth got into the win column for the season in a big way with a 69-25 final over West Central.
The Trojans jumped out to an early lead but less than two minutes into the game Plymouth coach Joel Grindle called a time out and his point was obviously taken as from that point on the Pilgrims erupted and never allowed West Central closer than 12 again in the game.
Easton Strain exploded with a game for his highlight reel hitting for 18 points in the first quarter alone on his way to a double/double of 34 points and 10 rebounds even sitting out much of the second half.
Davis Wray found his shot in the second half hitting for 14 points. Tanner Feece had six assists and Kadyn Ellery came off the bench to grab seven rebounds.
Every player saw floor time with freshmen Trey Delp and Preston Wolfe getting their first points in a varsity game.
Plymouth is now 1-7, and will play for the championship of the First Source Bank Holiday Tournament. Due to the holiday weekend we will have the write up for that game in Monday’s Pilot News.
