Beat boredom this weekend with these fun activities

Midwinter is really setting in, and like most Indiana winters, the weather can’t quite decide whether to be kind or rambunctio­us. However, the snow flurries on the other side of the windowpane doesn’t mean that you’re stuck at home watching reruns all this weekend. Here are some events that are sure to beat back your boredom.

Plymouth Public Library is excited to announce a series of improvisat­ional theatre classes that will be offered every Saturday from Feb. 19-March 19 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the library. Everyone’s Tiffany Improvisat­ional Company will be offering the class to any adult or teen that is interested in learning the basics of improv. Just because the class focuses on theatrical skills doesn’t mean that what will be taught doesn’t apply to the rest of life. The acting company will help attenders improve life skills like teamwork, creativity, spontaneit­y, adaptabili­ty, and public speaking. The class is free, but preregistr­ation is requested. Calling all craft lovers! Heartland arts Gallery is offering Beads & Bauble Classes hosted by Kari Chittenden and Jayne Jacobson. For $30, participan­ts will be taught how to make a glass bead with a torch. Then they will be shown how to fuse glass to copper in a kiln. afterwards, students will make the two pieces of art into a necklace or key chain. Wild Rose Moon returns with more radio shows! This

Saturday, they will be hosting Return To Normal at their first show of the year. Tune in at 4 p.m. for Radio Hour and come at 8 p.m. for the concert. Plymouth Moose Lodge 741 will be hosting an 80s party on Saturday, Feb. 19 beginning at 9 p.m. The public is invited and encouraged dress up for the event. The best costume will be awarded with a prize. The Moose is excited to announce that DJ Tim will be Mcing and will host karaoke throughout the night.
