PHS presents The Addams Family this weekend

PLYMOUTH — this weekend, the Plymouth High School Fine arts Department will be presenting the addams Family a New Musical.

the musical follows the ghoulish addams family as they deal with the introducti­on of the normal boyfriend of Wednesday addams, Lucas Beineke. the show starts with Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Wednesday, Pugsley, and Lurch as they dance on the graves of their ancestors. this summons the ancestors and the entire addams family dances to the song “When You’re an addams.”

However, Uncle Fester makes it so that the ancestors can’t return to their eternal slumber. He does this so that he can enlist the ancestors’ help with the love that’s blossoming between Wednesday and Lucas.

this award winning Broadway musical is based off of the beloved 1960’s television series and is sure to be a fun evening for all. Performanc­es will be Friday, May 6, and Saturday, May 7 in the PHS auditorium. Showtime is 7 p.m. both evenings and doors will open 30 minutes before each show for festival seating. tickets are $8 and will be sold at the door.
