HS track BHS b/g win

BREMEN - The Bremen HS boys and girls track and field teams hosted Jimtown for a dual NIC clash. In the boys portion, the previously undefeated Jimmies were able to capture wins in numerous events, but the strength and depth of the Lions led to an 83-49 victory for Bremen on Senior Night. Seniors Nathan Andrews, Alistair Byrd, Aaron Douglass, Tony Hardin, Benjamin Hayes, Carson Miller, Caiden Newman, Tyler Schmeltz, Noah Wagers, Lextin Willis, Jesse Wisler, and James Wordleman were honored on the evening. The boys team will compete in the Kelly Relays today at Concord High School.

For the girls, senior captain Maddy Youngman and foreign exchange student Agnese Masisni (Italy) were honored as the senior representa­tives before the start of the meet. Through numerous stellar performanc­es, the team was able to capture the victory, 78-53. The girls team heads to the Goshen Relays and the JV NIC meet, both on Saturday morning.

Bremen boys first place finishers:

Caleb Cullers in high jump; Tony Hardin in long jump; James Wordleman in shot put; Jesse Wisler in pole vault; Luke Kincaid in the 1600 and 3200 runs; Matt Urbina in the 800 run; the 4×800 relay of Aaron Douglas, Kincaid, Urbina, and Lextin Willis; the 4×400 relay of Wisler, Hudson Fox, Willis, and Carson Miller.

Second place finishers: Tony Hardin in high jump; Zach Schmucker in shot put; Carson Miller in discus; Alistair Byrd in pole vault and the 800 run; Nathan Andrews in the 110 and 300 hurdles; Aaron Douglass in the 1600 and 3200 runs; Lextin Willis in the 400 dash.

Third place finishers: Wordleman in discus; Andrews in pole vault; Trevor Lucas in the 110 hurdles; Urbina in the 1600 run; Fox in the 400 dash; Wisler in the 300 hurdles; Kincaid in the 800 run.

Bremen girls first place finishers:

Kila Foster in LJ and the 200 dash; Maddy Youngman in the Pole Vault; Hannah Pezzuto in the 100 hurdles; Agnese Masini in the 100 dash; Hallie Klockow in the 1600m and 800m runs; Zeta Nunemaker in the 400 dash; Gracelynn Stevens in the 300 hurdles; Michaela Berger in the 3200m run; the 4×100 relay of Foster,
