-

PLYMOUTH — Come join us in church this Sunday. The First United Methodist Church is a friendly Church where we welcome you to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.

The UCC has very graciously opened their sanctuary for our use at 8:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on Sunday. Services will continue to be live streamed on Facebook and posted shortly after the service.

SPECIAL MUSIC: Pianist Ammee Girten will play “Every Day I Will Bless You” for the prelude and “Mother, I Love You-i Often Go Walking” for the musical meditation at the 8:30 a.m. Service and organist Kay Finlay will play “In The Church” for the prelude and cellist Luke Felde will play “Calm as the Night” for the musical meditation at the 11:15 a.m. service.

SUNDAY’S LITURGISTS: Ruth Van Vactor at the 8:30 a.m. service and Mary Kaufman at the 11:15 a.m. service.

Rev. Dr. Byron Kaiser’s MESSAGE: “Paul - Called to Go”.

Congregational Benediction “Go Now In Peace” will be sung by all at the close of the service.

LET US PRAY: Keep prying, my friends - Pastor Bryon Kaiser wrote this prayer in reference to the Ukraine war: “Dear Jesus, please protect my brothers and sisters who stand on the front lines of liberty in my place. Jesus, hold those who lay down their lives close to your heart. Jesus, forgive me, forgive us, forgive us humans who call on our dark natures and destroy rather than build. If my brothers and sisters die in the cause to which they are called, please gather them in the arms of your mercy. Let their sacrifice not be in vain. Bring us to a higher level of liberty and to a higher knowledge of the sacred sacrifice of life. Let us be resolved and stand firm but do not let us lose our humanity, our kindness, and your grace. Amen.”
