Bremen gets conf. win over Clay

BREMEN — Bremen trailed Clay in South Bend 2-0 after 2 innings, then erupted for 6 runs in the top of the 3rd to take a 9-6 win.

Mickie Shively singled home Gretchen Willis who walked to start the inning. Jaylin Swint then doubled scoring Lainey Neher who was hit by a pitch and Shivley. Ellia Foster then singled in Swint & Chrissy Grabowski then followed with a double. Finally Katie Moyer singled bringing in Foster and Grabowski.

Clay took advantage of a Naomi Flores walk, a single, and an error, then a

pair of hits to score 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th. The Lady Lions then responded as good teams do, with a pari of runs of their own in the bottm of the frame. Foster reached on an error, Grabowski singled, and Flores helped her own cause with a double scoring two.

Shively then hit the first pitch she saw leading off the top of the 7th to end the scoring of the night. Flores picked up the win from the circle, Grabowski relieved her in the 5th for the save.
