Sherk, Goze advance

MISHAWAKA - The Laville HS girls track team finished fifth at the Mishawaka Sectional Tuesday night and advanced two individual­s to next week’s regional. Lucy Sherk won the shot put for the second year in a row with her new personal record throw of 34-8. Olivia Goze finished third in the long jump and the 100m dash to advance in both events. Another highlight was Olivia Leonhard’s new school record in the pole vault (8-0) while finishing fifth.
