MISHAWAKA — Laville finished fifth and Glenn seventh at the highly competitiv­e high school boys track and field Penn Sectional.

Laville claimed four top-3 spots to qualify for next week’s regional. Lancers qualifying were Garrett Wagoner (1st shot put), Lincoln Hulsey (2nd pole vault), AJ Bedock (3rd discus) and Owen Smith (3rd 200m). Also advancing due to callbacks were Erik Bedock (shot put) and Matthew Schaefer (pole vault). Glenn’s Julian Mcmahan was second in the 200, with the same time as LV’S Smith, to advance in that event. Other placings for the Falcons were: 4x100 relay (4th), 4x800 (8th), William Baldwin (110H 7th, 300H 7th), Blake Malstaff (1600 7th), Colton Green (400 8th), 4x400 relay (7th), and Ty’ronn Larkin (HJ 7th). • PENN 198, MISHAWAKA 126, SB RILEY 69, SB ST.
