Marshall County Sheriffs Department books two for possession of narcotics
PLYMOUTH—ON Thursday, Oct. 13 at approximately 5 p.m. a Marshall County Sheriffs Department Deputy conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in the area of Novelty St. and Walnut St. in Plymouth. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 33-year-old Andres Rosas of Plymouth. The passenger of the vehicle was identified as 40-year-old Roland Carrillo of South Bend.
During the traffic stop, Marshall County Sheriff Department K9 Officer Diesel conducted an openair sniff around the vehicle. Upon doing so, K9 Officer Diesel alerted to the presence of narcotic odors in the vehicle. Suspected cocaine and marijuana were located inside the vehicle. Both men were transported to the Marshall County jail. Rosas was booked for possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug less than 5 grams when an enhancing circumstance applies and possession of marijuana with a prior drug offense conviction. Carrillo was booked for possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug less than 5 grams and possession of marijuana.
