Pack and Brummell awarded September athletes of the month
CULVER — Kaili Pack and Leo Brummell have been awarded the September 2022 Athletes of the Month at Culver Academy.

Newark, OH, is a senior captain on the cheerleading team and has caught the attention of coach
Kelley Bowers.
"Being a cheerleader can be tough," coach Bowers said.
"You're expected to throw your teammates in the air, know the rules of a football game, hype the crowd up, and tumble. Rain or shine, winning or losing, Kaili has a big smile on her face.
Stepping into a captain's role this season, Kaili has made sure she has gotten to know all the girls on the squad."
"Celebrating their own victories, big or small. She is always around for words of encouragement, an extra spot, and will always do a standing back tuck when asked," said Bowers.
"Her compassion and positivity have helped our squad form stronger bonds which has allowed the program to flourish. She sets an example of being a student-athlete while finishing her homework on the way to a game and understands the importance of academics. Kaili's love for Culver can be seen every Friday night under the lights."
Brummell, a 1st Classman from Highlands Ranch, CO, plays midfielder for the CMA soccer team. Brummell led the team in scoring with nine goals and six assists. He had a breakout game against Valparaiso High School on Sept. 19, scoring a hat trick in the 5-3 win.
"Leo serves as the central point for our team movement and distribution," coach Kevin Green said. "His vision of the field combined with his technical skills have proved vital to the team's success to this point."
