Marshall County Candidate Profiles
Jenny Bennitt Republican Marshall County Clerk
My desire to seek the position of Clerk did not happen overnight. As I contemplated the idea, it became evident to me that I was being lead towards this opportunity, and I realized my 9 years of experience at Marshall County had paved the way for this challenge.
The Clerk is responsible for the official records of all court cases with jurisdiction in Marshall County, along with collection of the fines and fees associated with said court cases. I am dedicated to maintaining efficient communication and good working relationships with the Courts and will place a high priority on properly processing court documents and keeping secure court records.
The Clerk also oversees and conducts all federal, state, county, township, municipal, and school board elections and is responsible for certifying the results. The election process is definitely one area that I believe could be challenging but the State has implemented a very secure and reliable process. By 2024, all the voting machines will be updated to an extreme level of security to prevent voter fraud and ensure accurate voting results.
One of the main reasons I decided to run for Clerk is because I have a strong conviction for the election process. I believe everyone should be thankful for the freedom to vote. We should vote because it’s our right, it’s our responsibility, and it affects the future of our children and generations to come. I am committed to promoting voter confidence in the election process and encouraging Marshall County constituents to exercise their right to vote.
Currently there is a great staff in the Clerk’s Office and it will be important for me to promote positive attitudes and an enjoyable work environment. Keeping our focus on providing a high level of service to the community will definitely be a priority. Being surrounded with good people and working as a team guarantees that we will accomplish more together than individually!
My vast work experience at Marshall County has provided me with valuable knowledge that cannot be attained through any other avenue, and that, along with my strong work ethic and conservative personal values have prepared me for this leadership position. I am excited to serve Marshall County and would be honored to have your vote on Nov. 8.
