Mayme Catherine Haag

Mayme Catherine (Park) Haag, 91, passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at her home, with her family in attendance. She was born Jan. 24, 1931, in Elkton, Maryland to George and Neva (Moore) Park. She married Verl Haag on June 24, 1955, in Hagerstown, Maryland. She relocated to Walkerton, Indiana in 1963 with Verl and her children to Haag’s Orchard, where she resided until her passing.

Mayme’s greatest loves were her children, grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren. She also loved quilting and donating many quilts for Blissville Church of the Brethren auctions for years. Mayme and Verl supported the John Glenn Falcons, going to basketball games for many years.

Mayme is survived by her children: Lynda (Henry) Krueger of Lakeville; Samuel Haag, and David (Brenda) Haag, both of Walkerton. Grandchild­ren: Phillip (Erica) Haag, Bryan (Danna) Haag, Brandon (Jamie) Haag, Adam Krueger, Richard (Yoana) Krueger, Heather (Blake) Manns, Danielle (Juan) Fernandez and 11 great-grandchild­ren. Sisters Pauline Lollar, Hilda Dixon, Pearl Rowan and Patsy Bridger along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Verl, her parents, George and Neva Park, Brothers; George Park, Rodney Park, Jesse Park and William Ellis, Sisters; Margaret Glazier, Mary Miller and Helen Wallace.

Per Mayme’s request, there will not be any services. Memorial contributi­ons on Mayme’s behalf can be made to Blissville Church of the Brethren, 6520 Spruce Trail, Plymouth, IN 46563.
