Devon S. Dunnuck

Devon S. Dunnuck, 85, of Akron, Indiana and Claypool area passed at 6:34 pm, Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023 at The Waters of Wabash East.

Devon was born on Nov. 10, 1937 in Warsaw, Indiana to the late Donald and Gladys (Snyder) Dunnuck. He married on July 2, 1955 in Tippecanoe, Indiana to Patricia Ann Lozier, she preceded him in death on June 5, 1994.

He was a 1955 graduate of Tippecanoe High School. He was owner/operator of Devon Dunnuck & Sons Trucking Company, retiring after over 40 years. He met Marilyn Stafford and they spent 12 years together. They enjoyed going on day trips to the area casinos. In years past, he enjoyed socializin­g and drinking coffee with friends.

He is survived by his sons Michael and wife Mary Dunnuck of Warsaw and Rob and wife Becky Dunnuck of Akron; 5 Grandchild­ren; 10 Great Grandchild­ren; 4 Great Great Grandchild­ren; a sister Geneal Ecker of Plymouth; and his longtime companion Marilyn Stafford.

Devon was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sons Lee Allen and Gene Dunnuck, a brother Charles Dunnuck, and sisters Evelyn Sechrist and Deloris Blackford.

The funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023 at King Memorial Home 101 North Tucker Street Mentone, Indiana with Pastor Luke Vasicek officiatin­g.

The interment will take place following the service in the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone, Indiana next to his wife Pat.

Visitation hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023 at King Memorial Home, Mentone, Indiana.

Memorial contributi­ons can be made in his memory to Beaver Dam Church/wheels on Fire to assist the community members who are fighting cancer.
