SATURDAY, JANUARY 28

• Did you know that mastodons and woolly mammoths lived in Marshall County at one time? The Marshall County Museum is sponsoring a Kid’s Discovery Series on Prehistori­c Marshall County with expert Bill Snyder. The 4-week program will be held on Saturdays between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Prehistori­c Marshall County will be a hands-on experience for kids of all ages. The topic for the first event on Jan. 28 is “Skulls and Stories.” We will share various animal skulls and tooth samples and learn lots of informatio­n about diet and habitats. Participan­ts will receive a “Passport to Discovery” booklet. Each week they will be given a picture to add to their passport. At the fourth meeting, kids with all 4 pictures will receive a real Marshall County fossil to keep. We will have a great time playing and learning together. Don’t miss the fun!

• The Heartland Artists Gallery, located at 101 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth, is holding Decorative Hearts Kid’s Class from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Decorate wooden hearts. Children under 8 must be accompanie­d by an adult. The instructor for the class is Cindy Carter. Call 574-936-9515 to sign up. The cost is $5.

• The Bremen Public Library will be holding Maker Mondays from 4 p.m. till 5 p.m. Kids, come make whatever your imaginatio­n can dream up. BPL will provide the supplies, and you provide the making! BPL is located at 304 N. Jackson Street. For more informatio­n, contact 574-546-2849.

• The Walnut Township Advisory Board and the Walnut Township Trustees will be meeting 6:30 p.m. at the B&R Building, located at 194 S. Michigan Street, Argos. All persons are welcome to attend. • The Bremen Public Library will be holding Music and Move from 9:30 a.m. till 10 a.m. Get moving! Songs and dance followed by a cool down stretch. Designed for toddlers and preschoole­rs.
