SATURDAY, JANUARY 28

• Did you know that mastodons and woolly mammoths lived in Marshall County at one time? The Marshall County Museum is sponsoring a Kid’s Discovery Series on Prehistori­c Marshall County with expert Bill Snyder. The 4-week program will be held on Saturdays between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Prehistori­c Marshall County will be a hands-on experience for kids of all ages. The topic for the first event on Jan. 28 is “Skulls and Stories.” We will share various animal skulls and tooth samples and learn lots of informatio­n about diet and habitats. Participan­ts will receive a “Passport to Discovery” booklet. Each week they will be given a picture to add to their passport. At the fourth meeting, kids with all 4 pictures will receive a real Marshall County fossil to keep. We will have a great time playing and learning together. Don’t miss the fun!

• The Heartland Artists Gallery, located at 101 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth, is holding Decorative Hearts Kid’s Class from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Decorate wooden hearts. Children under 8 must be accompanie­d by an adult. The instructor for the class is Cindy Carter. Call 574-936-9515 to sign up. The cost is $5.

MONDAY, JANUARY 30

• The Bremen Public Library will be holding Maker Mondays from 4 p.m. till 5 p.m. Kids, come make whatever your imaginatio­n can dream up. BPL will provide the supplies, and you provide the making! BPL is located at 304 N. Jackson Street. For more informatio­n, contact 574-546-2849.

• Mexican Train Dominoes game day is here! Come join the group on Mondays at 12 noon to play dominoes. This fun day is at Marshall County Council on Aging/life Enrichment Center, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth every Monday.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 31

• The Walnut Township Advisory Board and the Walnut Township Trustees will be meeting 6:30 p.m. at the B&R Building, located at 194 S. Michigan Street, Argos. All persons are welcome to attend. • The Bremen Public Library will be holding Music and Move from 9:30 a.m. till 10 a.m. Get moving! Songs and dance followed by a cool down stretch. Designed for toddlers and preschoole­rs. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1

• The Plymouth Elks Lodge will be serving the following Wednesday Night Specials: Fish Basket: Chicken Tenders, cornbread, and beans. They are serving from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. Carry outs are available. For more informatio­n, call 574-935-5511.

• There is an American Red Cross Blood Drive at St. Isidore Hall, located at 803 W. Bike Street in Bremen from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. You can make a Power Red or Blood donation. A Power Red donation collects the red cells but returns most of the plasma and platelets to the donor. These donors must meet specific eligibilit­y requiremen­ts and have type A Neg, B Neg, or O blood. A Blood donation is the most common type of donation, during which approximat­ely a pint of ‘whole blood’ is given. This type of blood donation usually takes about an hour. To schedule your appointmen­t, call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit Redcrossbl­ood.org.

• The Plymouth Public Library is holding Little Learners from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Join them for a fun and engaging storytime for toddlers and preschoole­rs. Kids will listen to stories, sing songs, and cant ake home a craft each week.

• The Arts & Crafts Share Circle has begun meeting each Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Life Enrichment Center/marshall County Council on Aging, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth. Bring whatever craft you are working on and enjoy the fellowship of this fun group. Stay an hour or longer if you choose. See you on Thursdays!

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3

• Plymouth Public Library will host homeschool at the Library Field Trip from 1 p.m. till 2 p.m. For the winter session at the library, they will be taking field trips to places around the community. This trip will be to Heartland Artist Gallery.

• The Plymouth Elks Lodge will be serving the following Friday Night Specials: Fish (AUCE), Shrimp and fish, Chicken Dinner, T. Bone Steak. The meal includes salad bar, potato, and dessert. They’re serving from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. Carry outs are available. Call 574-935-5511 for more details.
