Marilyn Jean Holem-hammelm cafee, after a brief illness, slipped away from her family on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN.

Marilyn was born to L.J. and Leona Holem on Feb. 20, 1934. She was a lifelong resident of the Plymouth area. She belonged to Women of the Moose for many years, and the Inwood United Methodist Church. She enjoyed volunteeri­ng for many activities, including working the Blueberry Pie Booth at the Plymouth Blueberry Festival over Labor Day weekend. She resided at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home where she had many friends. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino. We know she is in a beautiful place looking down on us, but she will forever be missed.

Marilyn is survived by her brother, Jerry (Barbara) Holem of Plymouth, IN; her children: Karen (Bob) Deon of Plymouth, IN; Dawn (Phil) Grossman of Argos, IN; Kenny (Cherazel) Rogan of Plymouth, IN; and Donna (Jim) Wenzel of Plymouth, IN; her grandchild­ren; her great-grandchild­ren; her great-great-grandchild­ren; along with several nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, L.J. and Leona Holem; her sister, Beverly Harris; and her husbands: Donald Rogan; Roger Hammel; and James Mcafee.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Deaton-clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home (300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563).

Funeral Service will follow at 1 p.m. with Assistant Pastors: Doug Deon, and Larry Ludwig presiding.

Burial will take place at New Oak Hill Cemetery (Plymouth, IN).

Memorial contributi­ons may be made to Marshall County Hospice and Palliative Care (112 S Center St C, Plymouth, IN 46563).
