• There is an american Red cross Blood Drive at the Plymouth Fire Department, located at 111 N. center Street in Plymouth from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. You can make a Power Red or Blood donation. a Power Red donation collects the red cells but returns most of the plasma and platelets to the donor. These donors must meet specific eligibilit­y requiremen­ts and have type a Neg, B Neg, or O blood. a Blood donation is the most common type of donation, during which approximat­ely a pint of ‘whole blood’ is given. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18

• Did you know that mastodons and woolly mammoths lived in Marshall county at one time? The Marshall county Museum is sponsoring a Kid’s Discovery Series on Prehistori­c Marshall county with expert Bill Snyder. The 4-week program will be held on Saturdays between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Prehistori­c Marshall county will be a hands-on experience for kids of all ages. The final meeting on February 18 will teach how to “Start Your Own Dig.” What are the steps to a Special Kid’s Discovery. Participan­ts will receive a “Passport to Discovery” booklet. Each week they will be given a picture to add to their passport. at the fourth meeting, kids with all 4 pictures will receive a real Marshall county fossil to keep. We will have a great time playing and learning together. Don’t miss the fun!
