THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16

• There is an American Red Cross Blood Drive at the Plymouth Fire Department, located at 111 N. Center Street in Plymouth from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. You can make a Power Red or Blood donation. A Power Red donation collects the red cells but returns most of the plasma and platelets to the donor. These donors must meet specific eligibilit­y requiremen­ts and have type A Neg, B Neg, or O blood. A Blood donation is the most common type of donation, during which approximat­ely a pint of ‘whole blood’ is given. This type of blood donation usually takes about an hour. • Cr8-ur-canvas is holding “Friends”at 6 p.m. “Friends” is a great new addition to the many gnomes in the painting gallery. This 10x20 canvas painting event is guaranteed to be filled with fun and laughter! Be sure to sign up today to reserve your seat. Limited seating, $27 per person. Doors open 20 minutes before the event. You must have a paid reservatio­n to attend. Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks (alcohol is acceptable).

• The Plymouth Public Library is holding Little Learners from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m. in the Children’s Department. Join them for a fun and engaging storytime for toddlers and preschoole­rs. Kids will listen to stories, sing songs, and can take home a craft each week.

• The Alzheimer & Dementia Caregiver Support Group meets at 3 p.m. at Life Enrichment/ Marshall County Council on aging, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17

• Homeschool at the Library Field Trip is being put on by the Plymouth Public Library. For the winter session of Homeschool at the Library, they will be taking field trips to places around the community. For field trip informatio­n, email elizabethh@myplymouth­library.org. It takes place from 1 p.m. till 2 p.m.

• Come play Euchre every Friday at 1 p.m. at the Life Enrichment Center, located at 1305 W. Harrison Street in Plymouth. Beginners to experts, everyone is welcome.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18

• Did you know that mastodons and woolly mammoths lived in Marshall County at one time? The Marshall County Museum is sponsoring a Kid’s Discovery Series on Prehistori­c Marshall County with expert Bill Snyder. The 4-week program will be held on Saturdays between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Prehistori­c Marshall County will be a hands-on experience for kids of all ages. The final meeting on February 18 will teach how to “Start Your Own Dig.” What are the steps to a Special Kid’s Discovery. Participan­ts will receive a “Passport to Discovery” booklet. Each week they will be given a picture to add to their passport. At the fourth meeting, kids with all 4 pictures will receive a real Marshall County fossil to keep. We will have a great time playing and learning together. Don’t miss the fun!

• Creating with Color-charcoal Class will be held at Grace Community Christian Church from 10:30 a.m. till 12 p.m. Join Marge as she walks through using charcoal to draw a winter design. The cost is $5. Signup is at the Main Desk/youth Desk of the Plymouth Public Library.

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 20

• The Heartland Artists Gallery, located at 101 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth, is holding Winter Acrylic Painting Class from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Paint a colorful winter barn with acrylics. Instructor for the class is Jon Miller. Cost is $30. Call 574-936-9515 to sign up.

• The Heartland Artists Gallery, located at 101 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth, is holding Heart Shaped Stained Glass class from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. This is a beginner stained glass class. The instructor for the class is Mary Szymczak. Call 574936-9515 to sign up. The cost of the class is $50.

• Brief Legal Clinic is today at noon at Marshall County Council on Aging/life Enrichment Center, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth. Free 30-minute consultati­on sessions with an attorney are scheduled by calling us at 574-936-9904. No walk-ins are accepted.

• The Class of 1958 will meet at Christo’s every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.

• Are you considerin­g volunteeri­ng somewhere? Do you have a heart for the grieving community? Dustin’s Place invites you to join their team. They are holding a volunteer training event from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The training will prepare you for facilitati­ng a peer grief support group through education on grief, children’s grief, group discussion and loving others well.
