Marshall County awarded federal funds
Marshall County has been awarded federal funds in the amount of $7,912.00 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county, made available through the Dept. of Homeland Security/fema under the Emergency Food & Shelter Program.
a local board will determine how the funds will be distributed among the emergency food and shelter programs run by local service agencies. Local agencies chosen to receive funds must: 1) be private voluntary non-profits (with a voluntary board) or units of government, 2) be eligible to receive Federal funds, 3) have an accounting system, 4) practice nondiscrimination, and 5) have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs.
Public or private voluntary agencies interested in applying must send a letter of interest to the local board chair, Janis Holiday, Marshall County Council on aging, 1305 W. Harrison, Plymouth, IN 46563, 574-936-9904, jholiday.mcoas@hotmail.com by March 24.
