ELKHART - The Bremen HS girls track team finished sixth and Glenn HS 10th at the Northern Indiana Conference meet at Elkhart Tuesday.

Bremen top-3 finishes:

Notable Glenn accomplishments:

Sammy Walker 400M Dash 4th place 1:03.27, 4x400 Relay (Kassidy Tibbs, Taylor Mcvoy, Sophie Minnick, Sammy Walker) 6th place 4:32.36, Sophia Romer High Jump 8th place 4-8, Arianna Stanley Discus 3rd place 106-4 and Michaela Hurford 7th place 97-3.

NEW CARLISLE - Glenn lost a close match to New Prairie Tuesday, 3-2. The deciding match came down to a tiebreaker at No. 1 singles.

HS baseball Lions lose in last inning

ELKHART - Twelve runs were not quite enough for Bremen as Elkhart scored nine in the bottom of the 7th inning to defeat the Lions, 13-12. Batting leaders for Bremen included Baylor Orcutt (4-5, 2B, 2R, 3 RBIS), Silas Laidig (3-4, 2 2B, 3R, 1 RBI), Aden Hunziker (3-4, 1R, 2 RBIS) and Reece Greene (2-5, 1R, 1 RBI).

HS softball JG blanked by #8

SOUTH BEND - The Lady Falcons had trouble putting the ball in play against Class 4A No. 8 South Bend Saint Joseph, losing 8-0 Wednesday. Payton Thomas had two hits and Natalie Wilton added the only other hit on the night for Glenn. The Lady Falcons are going to defend their title from last year as they take on North Judson in the Queen of Diamonds Tournament on Saturday.

#3 takes down Lions

NEW CARLISLE Mickie Shively launched a solo home run to start the game, but Bremen lost to Class 3A No. 3 New Prairie, 12-1, on Tuesday. NP pitcher Ava Geyer struck out 13 of the next 18 Lady Lions batters after Shively’s hit. Eliana Grubbs and Katie Moyer each singled for the only other Bremen hits.
