Marshall County Relay for Life 2023 to be held Saturday
MARSHALL COUNTY — The Marshall County Relay for Life will be held this Saturday in River Park Square from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
according to a press release issued by the american Cancer Society, in 2023 there will be roughly 1.9 million new cancer cases and 609,820 deaths from cancer are expected to occur in the United States. More than 40,270 new cases and 13,660 deaths are expected to occur in Indiana.
Cancer is the second most common cause of death among americans, second to heart disease.
Individuals interested in registering for the event can call 1-800-227-2345 or go online to secure.acsevents.org. The public is welcome to attend the event whether or not they register.
Luminaries can be obtained for a donation of $5 each. Decorate the bag to honor or remember a family member who has been on a cancer journey.
