year’s state champ (Ben Davis) by 13. The reputable John Harrell website is predicting a 61-56 Plymouth win.

Bremen @ Laville (boys)

Due to its success in football, Laville will be one of the last teams to finally take the floor when it hosts Bremen Thursday. The Lancers defeated the Lions last season, 42-37, and have high expectations for this year. This game will be a good measuring stick for a much improved Bremen club.

#15* Tippecanoe Valley @ Plymouth (girls)

Plymouth has alternated from a win to a loss in the last five games and a loss to Class 3A No. 15* Tippecanoe Valley would keep that pattern going. Who likes patterns though? This is the first of five straight home games for the Lady Pilgrims and the first of four road trips for the Lady Vikings. TV’S only loss so far was to undefeated Class 3A No. 6* Western. The Lady Vikings won this match-up by 26 a year ago on its way to a 22-4 record and semistate appearance.

Glenn @ Elkhart (girls)

It has been a streaky season for Glenn thus far. The Lady Falcons won their first three games of the season, lost the next three, and are currently on another threegame winning streak after Monday’s road win. Alivia Turnage, one of the team’s leading scorers, was injured during the last game and her availability for this Northern Indiana Conference contest and beyond is unknown. Both teams have first-year head coaches. Elkhart has won just one of its last five games after starting the season 3-0.

Jimtown @ Bremen (girls)

If Tuesday’s games go to form, solo third place in the rugged NIC is up for grabs in this one. Both of these teams have turned heads in the early going with their improved play from a year ago. After seven games, Bremen stood at 5-2 instead of 3-4 at the same point last season and Jimtown 4-3 instead of 1-6.

Argos @ North Judson (girls)

Argos’ Samantha Redinger continues to lead the state in scoring (34.1 ppg) and the Lady Dragons are averaging 53 ppg after putting up 69 and 57 points in its last two games respectively. Winners of three of its last four games, Argos will be tested by a good North Judson team. Last year, this was a five-point game with the Lady Bluejays coming out on top.

Oregon-davis @ West Central (girls)

O-D makes the trip to Francesville to end its two-game week. West Central is just 1-5, lost to the Lady Bobcats last year by 10 and has never defeated O-D in the last 20 years (eight meetings) and yet the reputable John Harrell website is predicting an 11-point WC win over O-D. Huh?
