MUAC student awarded competitiv­e U.S. Department of State’s scholarshi­p

PLYMOUTH — Marian University’s Ancilla College (MUAC) student Peter Kenney ‘24 has been awarded a $3,000 Benjamin A. Gilman Internatio­nal Scholarshi­p to complete a study or internship abroad and a Follow-on service project.

Kenney is a Culver resident and a Business Informatio­n Technology major at MUAC.

“I am very excited about this prestigiou­s award as I look forward to the summer and travel abroad to Austria,” Kenney said.

The highly competitiv­e Gilman Scholarshi­p is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educationa­l and Cultural Affairs and offers scholarshi­ps to undergradu­ate students who demonstrat­e financial need to pursue academic studies or career-oriented internship­s abroad.
